Operaton at Conferences 2025

I would like to start this thread to synchronize on spreading the news about Operaton at conferences and Community Events (e.g. JUGs) next year. This is to synch to which CfPs who will submit to which topic and to inform about about the CfPs.

First on this list would be JCON EUROPE 2025. The CfP ends on November 29th. I plan to submit a proposal, but would happily submit also one together with one of you. My first working title in mind is “Business Process Automation + FOSS^ = Operaton” and would be a talk about the history of the various engines, the reason of the fork, the roadmap, the community.

Hi @kthoms, thanks for the great initiative!

I submitted talks to JavaLand, but they got rejected. Afaik @paul submitted a talk about the Frontend concepts to FOSDEM.

My family situation won’t allow me to travel much for 2025, but I am in contact with some Java Usergroups already, will update here if some dates are fixed :crossed_fingers:

I applied for Cloudfest Hackathon 2025 and specified JSONForms and Operaton as my two Open Source Community circles. Last time itwas quite interesting as we explored new ways how the jsonformseditor.io could be used in other FOSS projects. Let‘s see if i get invited next year again.

I plan to submit a talk next week. But yes, I would like to go to FOSDEM and do a “Frontend + Operaton + Accessibility” Talk.

For next years JavaLand I’m already an accepted speaker and will use Operaton as example in my web-accessibility talk (deep dive) as well.

As for JCON, I may submit as well, but check my schedule the next days first.

In any case, I’m looking forward to meet our Operaton community in person next year if our conference attendance aligns
