Last year, I purchased a Synology NAS privately and use it for a lot of dev related work that I used to do on my Ubuntu laptop. The advantage is that I have a stable environment with the possibility to make everything publicly accessible and use it via my own domain open-regels.nl in combination with let’s encrypt certificate. https://operatondev.open-regels.nl/ is an example of this.
