Scope for version 1.0.0

Hi,

I’d like to reach a consensus about the work which should be included in version 1.0.0, our first final release.

To me it is important, that all integration tests work again / are enabled again, and that we have a very clear understanding about our migration plan, which will be well documented. This includes tests against all supported databases and tests with different JDK versions.

I’m open about adding the new “skip locked” Job Executor feature to 1.0.0, too, but I would be fine if we considered 1.0.0 as a stable, refactored and reliable fork with the same featureset, too.

I agree with all that you’ve written and have these things to add:

  • Removing all references to Camunda/C7 in the webapps, screenshots etc that we’re aware of (and should do another round for finding them)
  • Patching the CVE with high severity in the webapps (have a fix for angular ready, need to integrate it)
  • Launching the documentation with it would be really nice
  • The keycloak plugin should be launched together with the 1.0.0
  • We should release the distributions (tomcat, wildfly, run) and provide a docker container

Good points, agree with all of them but one – having the documentation would be mandatory imho, not only nice

Totally agree with the documentation.

Nothing speaks against having more betas until everything mentioned has been set. I‘ll continue to work on the build related stuff, but help is welcome.

Shall we create an issue where all these things are listed as acceptance criteria with checkboxes?
